Pick-A-Pepper Candy started out as a simple idea to make very strongly flavored old-fashioned hard rock candy. This simple idea became the springboard to our crazy idea for creating chile candy. Seriously, you can’t get more strongly flavored than a good, hot chile. But the more we thought about it, the less crazy the idea seemed. In fact, it actually seemed like a really neat idea. So Ed and Dave, two friends and public finance guys, formed a partnership and created Pick-A-Pepper Candy. Our company is located in the small Midwestern town of Chatham, Illinois. We’re a small business in a small town, and that keeps everything real and in perspective.

At Pick-A-Pepper Candy our philosophy is simple.

Do something you like to do - We do. We like to make the best candy and peanuts around. We like to meet people like you and become friends. And we really like making you happy.

Keep it simple - And boy do we keep it simple. Dave runs the administrative side of things while Ed runs the production side. We keep a limited number of products so we can focus on making the best candy and peanuts rather than more, more, more. So we batch make every order and ship it fresh. That’s simple.

Quality up front - On a personal level we have to offer you the best possible candy and peanuts. That’s just how we are. And it’s pointless to think about the quality of our product after we’ve made it. So we focus on quality issues right up front. We use the best, all natural flavors we can find. We buy the biggest, meatiest peanuts we can find. And we buy the best chiles we can find.
